This work embodies the tumultuousness of my homeland. It focuses on the devastation to the environment caused by the political conflict in the Gaza Envelope region. Specifically exploring the effects of a massive wave of balloon-borne incendiary devices that sparked hundreds of fires.
My approach in depicting this wounded land is to show the natural ecosystem as part of the impacts of human conflicts. The work can appear desolate, macabre, and darkly beautiful, encapsulating the interplay of history, identity, and human activity in their surroundings.
